Women writers will find there are many opportunities for magazine writers. There are magazines on most any topic you can think of: sports, hobbies, business, collectibles, cars, boats, decorating, cooking, child rearing, and children's interests. This creates an open market for women writers.

Perhaps you would like to become one of the women who write for magazines. Here are some magazine submission tips that will help you get started.

Find the Right Magazine

The first step is to find a publication that covers the topics you want to write about. You can find a list of publications in a directory for writers at a bookstore. Libraries usually offer a reference list in a "List of Periodicals." Also, look for a sizable selection of magazines at a large bookstore.

The next thing to do is read the publications you are interested in writing for and identify their editorial perspective. This will give you an idea of how to adapt your article to their interests. You normally wouldn't send an article on cooking to a sailing magazine. But possibly you could change the focus of your article to cooking on a sailboat. This would give you a much better chance of seeing your article published. Generally, you will have more results writing for a magazine that covers the same types of subjects as your article.

Send a Cover Letter

When you are ready to submit articles to a publication, send a cover letter to the editor outlining your idea. Make it clear and simple with an outline of your subjects. Give the approximate length of your article and promise to deliver on their deadline. Enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope and wait to hear from them. Make a pitch to several magazines and customize it for each one you contact.

You might receive many rejections before you are accepted. This is where you need to persevere and not give up on being a woman author! Once your article has been published in a magazine, it will be worth the wait. Some magazines don't pay for articles, but at least you will be published and able to add to your credentials.

Writing Professionally as a Woman Author

Always submit your best writing. Women writers who want to be published must be smart and professional. Don't waste an editor's time on hastily written copy or missed deadlines. It is suggested that when submitting an article to magazines, you should meet your word count within only 15 words above or below the number requested.

Send a handwritten thank-you note to the editor after you've been published. Wait a few weeks and send another pitch to sell your next idea. Internet Marketing as we all know it is pretty crowded with funny people making lots of huge bombastic claims over their nonsense crappy books and stuff. You might have come across ebooks making claims like "how to make $XXX in 2 weeks" or "anyone can earn money at home".

Being guilty of myself, I have literally spent gazillion amount of money into these internet marketing ebooks when I started out but only to find it later at those free-for-all ebooks directories, free membership sites or even those giveaway sites.  Though it's a sad experience to see youself spending money into something which could be downloaded somewhere over the Internet for free, there are still some good ebooks and materials which you should buy. Here are some of the guidelines which you should know of before you start your spending spree.

Don't Spend Money On Junk
Don't spend your money on something that tells you that with no experience you can make a lot of money. Typically this stuff is nothing more than trying to sell you pie in the sky. You can always learn and equipped yourself with knowledge from other free ebooks, newsletters or forums before spending your money on these ebooks.

Only Buy From The Experts Who Are Successful Themselves
The most advertised ebooks are not always the best. Good stuff will naturally come to you either by way of constant good reviews from other Internet Marketers, word of mouth, buzz from forums or discussion boards and even testimonials from the actual people who use them. Thus, you should always buy from the recognized experts who have had tons of experience under their belt and also reputable results to back up their claims.

Buy Only On What You Actually Need.
It's no point to spend your hard earned money on whatever ebooks or internet marketing materials which you come across, however good the claims are on the sales copy. Remember, good sales copy is supposed to play around the prospects' psychology behaviors into believing their actual claims. For example, in the business or internet marketing section of the bookstore, you might find stuff like "how to make money online" if you are looking for a book on internet marketing, but you can find a more specific ebook on the internet on "How to Get Successful Reciprocal Linking" or something like that. Both of these are related to Internet Marketing, but the latter tends to be more specific in their scope. Like what I've mentioned in the previous point, you should know what you are lack of and buy ebooks that will help you move forward in your business. If you are just starting out, internet marketing books in the bookstore will serve just as good as the newbie ebooks online.

As a conclusion, make sure you know who you can trust online before buying from them. There are lots of these self-proclaim internet Marketing Gurus who are just like the average Joe struggling to make money online. Remember, there are bunch of those great forums and discussion boards which not only you could find great pieces of information, but also the chance to pose questions as well.

Affiliate Programs Need Affiliates That Help Affiliates.

Affiliate Programs, also known as Associate Programs are just a way companies get massive traffic, sales or members without the need to personally recruit new people for their business.

If you are familar with Network Marketing in the real world you will have no problem understanding Affiliate Programs.

These companies recruit a sales force that only gets paid when they make sales or give direct referrals or leads.

As an affiliate you promote their products and services. In return they will pay you a commission for each sale or membership you sell on their behalf.

How and when do you get paid?
What is the pay out or commission structure?
How many levels or tiers will you get paid on?

1. Do you get paid even if you are a free affiliate, or do you have to be a paid member to earn commissions?

Note: If you are working with an affiliate program that allows you to join for free and you sign up others that are joining for free you will have a hard time earning any money.

2. How often are checks sent out and is there a minimum amount you must earn before you get paid?

If you have to earn a $100 before you get paid you could be waiting a while. Pay attention to the pay out structure of any program.

3. Do you get paid for direct sales and sign ups only or can you earn money on multiple levels or tiers? Do you get paid for the sales your affiliates make?

Here are two examples of pay out plans.

>>> First scenario: Single level or tier sales:
>>> You only get paid for the direct sales you make.

You join a program that costs you $19.95 a month to be a paid member and pays you $10.00 a month for each affiliate you sign up that will pay the $19.95 each month for the products and services the company provides.

You sign up 10 people that pay $19.95 a month and you earn $10 from each person. You are sent a $100 check each month as long as all ten remain as paying affiliates.

With this program you only make sales on people you directly sign up and only for the sales you make yourself.

For you to make more money you must sign up more people willing to pay $19.95 each and every month.

This is a single tier program. You only get paid for your direct sales or sign ups.

>>> Second Scenario: Multiple levels or tiers:
>>> You also get paid for your affiliates sales.

You join a program that pays you $10.00 a month for each of the affiliates you have directly signed up, but you also get $3.00 when your affiliate signs up a paying member or makes a sale.

Those same 10 people will still earn you $100 each month just like the single tier, but now it gets more interesting.

Each paying person your affiliates signs up or for each sale they make will earn you another $3.00.

If each of your 10 affiliates sign up 5 new affiliates that will pay the $19.95 each month you will earn $3.00 times 50 people. So you will earn an extra $150 each month.

Now you are earning $250 instead of $100.

Now think about it for a minute. Okay, times up. Which plan do you think is the better one?

Most ebusiness owners are either too intimidated by affiliate programs to do anything, or they jump right in over their head.

Both suffer because of it. The first person never gets to know the positive impact on ones finances affiliate programs have, while the other never learns the ropes and gives up which leaves them in the same position as the first person.

There are a lot of great affiliate programs available, actually so many it can be difficult to choose one, and that is when the cycle starts all over.

What is the solution to this problem?? Believe it or not the answer is quite simple. DO RESEARCH!! Ask and you will receive.

If you really want to be a good affiliate and create other good affiliates don't assume things. You need to know what your are doing.

What's the plan, Mann?

If you are completely new to affiliate programs you should be seeking help from people that you have learned to trust.

These people can give you the heads up on the affiliate programs they are familiar with. Never be afraid to ask for help.

A recommendation goes a long way. Credibility is on the line every time someone recommends something. For this reason your trusted friend should be giving you accurate information.

If you are already in an affiliate program and totally lost as to your next move you should be contacting those that are in the same program but have already figured it out. Again, if you don't ask questions you will most likely not get any answers.

But I have just started and I don't know anyone yet. Okay that's fair.

If this is you I would say you go to Google and do a search for

"affiliate programs forum" or "affiliate programs" forum

This will give you a list of forums that you can participate in. Once you are on the forums you can read the messages that other people have left.

Look through the posts to see how business is conducted so that you won't say or do something against there policies.

Where better to ask for help than a place where like minded people hang out and share their experiences online.

Don't overlook forums, they are a source of valuable resources.

Here are some of the questions you should be asking people:

1. Do their products or services meet a need? If you are not meeting a need you are going to have a hard time promoting and sell the products and services.

2. Is this a single tier or 2 tier program. Remember the above example. 2 Tier is going to allow you to earn more doing less. Keep in mind that even single tier programs can earn you large quantities of money. So pay attention to the selling price and the pay out you will receive.

3. How often and how to you get paid? How much do you have to have on account before you get paid? If there is a minimum amount you may have to wait a while before you see a check.

4. What kind of support system do they have in place? Are you able to ask questions and get answers right away. Can you see what your commissions are in real time?

5. How much does it cost to get started. Most affiliate programs will let you start for free and that can be enticing. Then you find out that is costs $100 to actually start making money.

6. Are you required to have your own web site? This is an added expense and may be a surprise that you don't need.

To summarize, you need to research the programs you are curious about and be sure to go to forums where like minded people hang out and ask lots of questions.

Look for affiliate programs that have a great support system and are easy to learn.

Consider the levels you can get paid on. You may find that a two tier program will create more income with less work. Not without work, but with less work.

Animals Rule in Children's Literature: Frogs and Caterpillars and Bears - Oh My!

From very hungry caterpillars and penguins for every day of the year to the Kingdom of Frogavia, animals rule in children's literature. Whether used to teach numbers, colors, or more subtle lessons of morality, animals are the perfect vehicles for conveying tangible and intangible concepts in an entertaining way.

The unique not-quite-human yet not-quite-animal characters in the classic Dr. Seuss tales, paired with allegories about honor and even disarmament, set the stage for the next generation of children's books and entertainment. Endearing creatures from Sesame Street (what is a Snuffleupagus, anyway?) and puppets from Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood created a world of make believe that children could call their own.

In children's literature, the story is often secondary to the lavish illustrations. "The Very Hungry Caterpillar," for example, wouldn't be nearly as compelling without Eric Carle's illustrations. Likewise, "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" is clever, but Felicia Bond's illustrations make the book a children's classic.

Kristin Zambucka's "Frog Knights" and "Frogavia! Frogavia!" are perfect examples of books that consist of both lavish illustrations and compelling tales. In the first book, frog characters live in their own frog world - the big pond known as The Kingdom Of Frogavia. The true frog king is unseated from his ancient throne and banished to a far, distant pond by an evil ruler. As his bullying and tyrannical rule stretch on, the Frogavian people grow increasingly restless and unhappy. Finally, a group of brave young rebels rise up and go in search of their true king. They eventually find him and he dubs them chivalry frog knights in gratitude for their loyalty. The king, along with a frog queen and frog princesses, return to Frogavia and right the wrongs of the evil ruler. In the second book, the story progresses, with one of the chivalry frog knights asking for the frog princess' hand in marriage, but she marries another. The frog knight joins his friends from the first book to continue on their mission to make good triumph over evil.

Zambucka's books are more whimsical than, say, Mary Pope Osborne's Magic Tree House series or Tony Abbott's Secrets of Droon series, but capture the magic of childhood while imparting nuggets of wisdom. The whimsy and appeal of the characters is that they come from the animal kingdom.

There's no doubt that creatures are central to today's children's literature. Whether completely imaginary, such as those in "Where the Wild Things Are," or real, as are those in "365 Penguins," or a little of both, as in "Frogavia! Frogavia!", kids are captivated by animals that cause the imagination to soar.

A Helping Hand to Online Success - the eBook!

If, like me, you’ve tried – and failed – in the past to achieve success online with internet marketing, then rest assured that help is finally at hand. I certainly wish I had had access to such knowledge when I started out three years ago, and perhaps I wouldn’t have been so overwhelmed with the practicalities of website design, using autoresponders, joining affiliate programs, writing sales letters, and how to get traffic to my site. I know better now, but more of this in a moment. . . .

The simple fact of the matter is, that to enter the world of internet marketing, you need something to promote and sell (well you want to make money at it don’t you?), whether a physical item, or – information. The very nature of the internet – where knowledge can be shared and exchanged at the click of a button – lends itself perfectly to . . . the eBook!

The advantages of the eBook over selling physical items is that there is no need to buy or store stock, no time and effort incurred in packing anything up and shipping it off in the post – and your customer can pay their money for your product and get immediate access to it from a download page. In an age where demand is for instant gratification, an eBook is ideal – easy and effective! And once written, you can sell unlimited copies of it without having to produce each item – so it’s both time and cost-effective too.

When thinking of a subject to write about for your eBook, the secret to greater success, and finding your ‘niche market’, is very simple. Like they tell all first-time budding authors – write about what you know. Make the content and quality of your eBook meaningful – whatever its length, it has to be good, or you’ll leave your customers feeling disenchanted. This software has a demo version that you can download to try out before purchasing. You can't actually use the demo to create an eBook, but you can run the software and test it out thoroughly to see if it does what you need it to do for your particular eBook.

This eBook compiler is one of the easiest to use. The software has a very user-friendly help menu that provides instructions for and explanations of every field on every screen. The program also includes video tutorials demonstrating every step of this compiler with clear explanations of all fields that need to be filled out. There are 7 screens that you use to choose your eBook options.

This compiler requires your files to be in HTML format. You follow simple directions, and the compiler loads your files. If you decide to edit your eBook after it has been compiled, make any changes in your original files and click on "Compile you eBook" and your changes will appear in your compiled eBook.

E-editor allows for some customization of your eBook. You can create a special page that appears when the eBook is opened; create customized icons that appear on the desktop after downloading; use your own logo on the task bar of your eBook; customize the task bar's buttons, where the task bar appears in your eBook, and choose the task bar's colours. Additionally, you can choose to have the eBook open to the last page read, which many of your buyers will appreciate.

An excellent and unique feature of E-ditor is the capability to choose a standard Microsoft window or to create your own design for a window to personalize your eBook. The program provides some sample window designs, but you can use any .bmp (bit map skin) graphic you have stored on your hard drive.

This compiler does not require a browser, nor do you have to download software or plug-ins. The program converts exe. files into pages that look like a standard book. You can create and produce eBook pages scaled to fit on your computer screen without any scrolling. Additional features include WYSIWGY (what you see is what you get) page editing and creation, the ability to manipulate internal images, cut and paste functions, hotlinks to pages, email, website, or other files. It is an excellent compiler to use for a marketing tool, such as creating brochures and manuals in addition to eBooks.

* EBook Edit Pro

This compiler provides a demo version, which allows you to test out its features. The software uses a Wizard that leads you step-by-step through the set-up and creation of your eBook. Customization includes text editing that appears on the pop-up starting message window; the ability to allow or prevent resizing of your book and the mouse-click pop-up menu; enabling or disabling the navigation bar and choosing the buttons you want to appear; and customizing the eBook's desktop icon and the logo that appears on the navigation bar.

Ebook Edit Pro is loaded with excellent features that allow you to create multi-media Ebooks, and includes a Wizard that is customized for beginners and for advanced users. The software uses HTML files, downloading them from the directory where they are saved. Edit and resave your files in the original software used to create those files, and then with a single click you can re-compile your Ebook.

Features include customization of icons, toolbars, and the "about box." This compiler has a particularly useful feature called the Re-brander feature. This permits you to enter customized code into your Ebook pages and distribute the Re-brander software to your affiliates or distributors. The secret is in the listing title!  Below are 7 ways to maximize your traffic, conversion and profit using smart listing strategies.

1.  Keyword Rich Listing Title

This tip is not unknown but is still rarely used.  Most people who sell ebooks with resell rights simply list their item on eBay using the “actual name” of the product for the listing title.

For example, “James Jackson's Giveaway Gold” is listed by many sellers by it’s title.  In reality this is an ebook on how to build your email list.  If you were looking for a guide on how to build your mailing list would you type in “James Jackson’s Giveaway Gold?“  Not if you have never heard of such an ebook!  It should be listed as “Build Create Make Your Mailing Email List”.  This would be a wise use of relevant keywords and phrases which will bring in the greatest amount of traffic to that listing.  You can find these targeted keywords with a free keyword search tool.

2.   Understand What You Are Selling

If you don’t know what you are selling how can you give it a proper listing title?  Be sure to read the sales page that it comes with.  Often times you can find useful keywords and phrases in the sales page that will help you list it correctly.

3.  Check Out Your Competitor’s Listing Titles

Do this before you pick your listing title.  As you start writing down possible keywords and phrases to use in your title, cross check them on eBay to see if any other of the same products pull up.  Be sure to choose the keywords and phrases that give you the fewest competitors.

4.  Use Misspellings To Your Advantage

People’s inability to spell means money for you.  For example, a product that has to do with “Google Adsense” can also be written as “Google Ad Sense,” or even Goggle Adsense.”

5.  Cross Positioning

A great example of this would be having an ebook on coin collecting but listing it as coin collecting with metal detector.  There may be nothing in your ebook on metal detectors but no doubt anyone who pulls up metal detectors will see your ebook on coins and bingo, you just created a niche listing with no competitors.

6.  Name Recognition Tie In

This is a great way to pull in brand name recognition traffic even though you aren’t selling the product with the name.  An example of this would be if you were selling an ebook on how to create a pay per click search engine.  You could list the title as something like “Make A Pay Per Click Search Engine Like Google Adwords.”

Another benefit to using all 6 of these techniques is that often times the resellers won’t find you very easily.  Resellers will be looking at other resellers and trying to copy their titles while undercutting their listing price.  Because most of them are looking for the actual name of the product, you will be virtually invisible to them.

Now that you have positioned yourself on eBay away from the rest, burn your ebooks to CD.  Why on a CD?  You can increase the price as well as charge shipping and handling.  You can easily charge $4.99 for shipping when in fact it costs less than half that to pay for the CD and shipping materials.

7 Step: How To Create And Publish Your Own E-Book

In this simple article, I will show you step-by-step how to create your own e-book.

Step 1:
Open your HTML editor (Dreamweaver, FrontPage or etc); if you do not have one, go to search engine and type, "free online editor WYSIWYG".

Step 2:
Type your message or idea into your HTML editor or copy and paste it from your text editor. Design your page and make it simple. After you, finish your work, save your file into specific folder. When designing your page, consider creating your file in single page or multiple pages that link to each other like website. If you new to website design, better you design it in single page.

Step 3:
Compile your file into ebook using ebook compiler. Go to (http://www.ebookcompilers.com) and download ebook compiler. This is directory of ebook compiler and there are free ebook compilers too. Download and install ebook compiler into your computer. On the other hand, go to search engine and type, “free ebook compiler.”

Step 4:
Open your ebook compiler and browse your file (html file you create in step 2) and follow the instruction in your ebook compiler until finish.

Step 5:
Go to www.winzip.com, download WinZip, and install it. Open WinZip application and create a new Zip file. Add your ebook file and zip it.

Step 6:

Step 7:

Allow your website visitors to download your e-book free.

Now you have successfully created your own e-book, publish it on the net but your e-book only can be view by Windows user. So, how your e-book can be view both Windows and Mac users. It is very simple just type your message or idea in word processor and save it in text format. Go to https://createpdf.adobe.com and follow the instruction on how to compile your text into PDF file. After you successfully create your PDF file, follow step 5, 6, 7.
